Well how are they supposed to know whether you are actually learning otherwise. You could sit there for a whole term not learning anything and get a get a better grade than someone who was actually learning and did a test! Not that that would happen or anything! =) So in answer to your question, they do it to see how well you know the things that they have been teaching you all term, so they know that what they are teaching you is actually getting throug By The Thinker

To teach within the public school system in the United States at the pre-K through high school levels, you must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a teacher education program from a regionally accredited college or university and state teacher certification. This would take approximately four years to complete as a full-time student, provided you take the program as prescribed by the college or university. Individuals who already have at least a bachelor's degree but not in an education program, can obtain certification to teach specific courses through the Alternative Route Program within the state they wish to teach.

Certification to teach varies by state, but most states require the Praxis tests. There are different versions of the Praxis test, and the ones required to take depend on wht a person is trying to get certified in. Check your state department of education website for more details.

You need to demonstrate your ability to communicate with your pupils, that you're capable of relaying the lesson effectively, and you're confident in dealing with disruptive behaviour.

Actually, the certification test are designed to assess the subject area knowledge of the potential teacher. Classes in pedagogy, and assessments within those test lesson planning, classroom management, and all other aspects of teaching.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by which test. To teach within the public school system in the United States, you must have a bachelor's degree in a teacher education program and state teacher certification. This would take approximately four years as a full-time student to complete, provided the student takes the degree as prescribed by the college or university. There are alternative routes for individuals who have a bachelor's degree not in an education program and do not have teacher certification but would like to teach. These individuals go through a teacher program, and obtain certification to teach a specific course or courses. However, you would have to contact the State Board of Education within the state you plan to teach for appropriate direction.

You will need 3 c+ in GCSE level and music (theory as well) in AS / A Level you will then need to go to collage or / and UNI to study some more music - after you have graduated in this you can volunteer at schools where you can get experience with teaching students and they might hire you in future. If you want to be a music teacher it is ideal to play the piano and maybe 1 woodwind and 1 string instrument. You will also need to get teacher training qualifications (teacher training agency) - which allows you able to teach.
