also it brought a lot of attention to people
Because it was strict and justifiable.
The rules of the law were just.
King Hammurabi is known for the set of laws he compiled called Hammurabi's Code, which are one of the earliest surviving codes of law in recorded history. But, most Kings set down rules for everyone in their kingdom to follow.
canadian law is better than hammurabi's law because hammurabi's law is way more harsher than canadian laws today. of course, if our law was as harsh as hammurabi's today, there would be less crimes. in canadian law, the people who decide if you are going to jail/if you are guilty, have to ask questions to themselves like 'did the accused person of the crime do his actions on purpose','how old is this person...' and it goes on and on. when in hammurabi's law no questions asked you would be killed right away. in my opinion i would rather have the canadian law more than hammurabi's.

It was the first time laws were put into writing,
The Code of Hammurabi, of which we have a copy, dates from the beginning of the seventeenth century BCE. We have no firm evidence that the law of Moses ever really existed other than as a late tradition, but the biblical account is believed to place it around 1400 BCE. So, the Code of Hammurabi would be much older than the law of Moses.
"If any one ensnare another, putting a ban upon him, but he cannot prove it, then he that ensnared him shall be put to death."
code of hammurabi. (i think) it was a question in my civics exam, and this is what i out. Code of Hammurabi is not correct. The code of Hammurabi was the first written set of laws ever, not the laws that simplified roman law. That would be Justinian Law.
