Soft Soap is a brand of antibacterial soap. It is good to use in bathrooms and kitchens for your hands.
you can use it for both
You 'paint' on "Gas Detect" over it and leaks will show bubbles immediately. It's a bit like thick liquid soap and available in good plumbing stores. -I guess you could probably use liquid soap too, but this is the professional answer.

no because if your tank leaks it is wrecked
A check for leaks in anesthetic machines are done just prior to each use and at regularly scheduled intervals. A diagnostic routine is ran using the machine's built in software to determine if any leaks exist.
Yes. Infrared are currently considered to be the best option to detect gas leaks. They use the absorption of infrared radiation at certain wavelengths to detect dangerous levels of toxic and combustible gases.
Check for leaks and if you have a check engine light on, go to auto zone and have the codes read free. Give it a good tune up with new filters. Run injector cleaner through it.
Natural gas is odourless. Gas for domestic use - has chemicals added to create a smell, so leaks can be detected.
Could it be not enough pressure? Is the engine in good condition? If not, repair it. Tight valve clearences will cause this so make sure you check them. Check & elliminate vacuum leaks and ensure no air leaks in the induction system. Check & adjust idle speed & ignition timing on petrol to correct setting. Check idle speed on gas, should be similar, within 100 rpm. If not, check idle mixture setting on gas, use vacuum gauge to obtain highest reading while adjusting mixture setting.
Some possibilities: Intake leak, head gasket leak, rad, waterpump, hoses, heatercore, cooling fans not coming on, stuck thermostat. If it's a 3.4L they are common for intake & head gasket leaks. Check for coolant in the oil (oil looks like a chocolate milkshake), look for leaks around the intake area or drips on the ground. Maybe use a gas analyzer or emmision machine to check for hydrocarbons in the rad to see if the head gasket is leaking. 3.8L are more common for intake leaks than head gasket leaks but check it over the same as above.
Some vehicles use an "O" ring to seal the joint, check or replace the "O" ring if applicable. If the line or fittings are damaged, your local auto parts store has repair ends that you can splice in.
