Check the wires to the maf. it is between the air filter and the throttle body, if it is disconnected or faulty in some way what you are describing will happen

Depends on the model. 1500 fuel pump or ignistion switch. If it wont start at all expect the fuel pump. If it is intermittant expect the switch.
