Iceland is a land form composed and created by volcanoes.

Many of these volcanoes are still active. Lava from underground heats up the groundwater and provides Icelanders with geothermal power and hot water.

Hope this helps :D

Because Iceland sits on top of a fault line it has many active volcanoes. so the volcanoes heat the springs that appear all across Iceland. So that's why Iceland have hot springs now.... THANKS!

There are geysers in Iceland because there is hot, molten rock, called magma, under the ground in many places in that country. This heats the geysers and hot springs and drives the island's many volcanoes.

*****************************************************

The thinness of the crust in places on Iceland, and hot magma a short distance underneath the crust, causes rainwater that percolates through the crust to return as hot springs. The glaciers are caused by heavy snowfall high in the mountains. The weight of the snow accumulating at the top, slowly forces the glacier to creep downhill.
