Better fuel economy due to more complete combustion. Reciprocating aircraft (piston) engines have had 2 spark plugs per cylinder for a long time .... primarily for redundancy - 2 magnetos. But during the 'Before take-off checklist', it is required that the pilot turn off each mag separately to see they are both working, and there is a slight rpm reduction with only one mag which indicates slightly less power (efficiency) for the same amount of fuel.

There are no spark plug wires...just a boot system mounted to the under side of the cover and the ignition stuff is there too. Plugs will strip quite easily if you are not careful (13 ft/lbs). Bosch 4 prong plugs are well worth the money.
