Why does Verizon Wireless Broadband replace the USB727 modem with the same even though this modem appears to be defective I am on my third one in less than a year?

Due to the One Year Manufacture Warranty, You are entitled to a Certifies Like New Replacement of the same equipment if your equipment if defective. If there is not a known issue posted, you may just be having bad luck! This policy is due to the manufacturer warranty. However if you have a total of 4 devices (1 orig and 3 replacement) in a 3 month period, this is considered to be substantial and they will usually give you a new equipment of comparable value. This will not extend your contract but will extend your upgrade date by 20 months because you are getting new equipment.
