Firstly, black is not a colour - it is the absence of colour (white isn't a colour either - it is a mixture or combination of all 'colours'). We see colour when its particular wavelength is reflected of the surface of something. The wavelength(s) reflected depends on the composition of the surface.
Back to black - so when we see 'black' it is because all wavelengths of light has been absorbed by that surface. Light is energy; all that energy being absorbed = heat.
yes it does!! :)
The Thermosphere does.
Mars is the closest planet to the sun, and receives the most energy.
No. Plants get energy from the sun. Bee's, like most animals, get their energy from food.
The energy in the sun comes from the solar interior, specifically the core.
the main purpose of the black metal is to absorb u.v rays from the sun that are used by solar's to generate energy.
Chloroplast do not produce energy. They absorb energy of sun light.
A black shirt will absorb more sun than a white shirt will
Black
yes it does!! :)
Red-coloured objects appear red because they reflect mostly red light. Thus, they must absorb most of the other colours of light. Since light carries energy, they are absorbing solar energy, which is, of course, why objects that are left in the sun get hot. Objects that are coloured black absorb all visible frequencies (colours) of light, which makes them appear dark, and also means they will absorb the most solar energy and heat up fastest in the sun.
Land reflects the Sun's energy slowly, while oceans absorb it more quickly.
Because every color can absorb light except for black and so if the light energy can be absorbed it is turned into heat energy. So you get very hot
Black clothes absorb more of the suns energy while white absorbs less. Since this energy is in the form of heat to us darker clothes feel hotter. EX) The sun emits photons of light. these photons have a characteristic wavelength to each color: blue green yellow red.....Black clothes absorb wavelengths of light from the sun that dont make up the black color, meaning they dont take in the black wavelength photons, just absorb the colors that dont make black color, like red and yellow. White clothes do not absorb any photons of the visible spectrum so they emit all the photons of light. Since they dont absorb the light energy from the sun they dont get as hot. But will still heat up but from the radiation of the sun.
Black because black absorbs the most sun.GREAT TIP FOR SUMMER FASHIONS!
Not sunLIGHT, but heat energy from the sun, especially if they have a black hide or dark-coloured hide. If they have a light-coloured hide (or hair) some of the sun's energy will still be absorbed, but a lot of it will be reflected.
the sun gives off energy in the form of photons
