Grinding or powdering an object increases the surface volume available for chemical interaction. More the reagent is individualized more effecient is the reaction with it's environment.
the answers are chemical and natural use the word itself "weather"ing rain erodes the object that is weathering and for chemical acid rain.
Physical weathering is when some liquid like wind or water over a long period of time breaks of the outer layers of and object, like a rock. Chemical weathering is when an acid or something else chemically eats away at an object like a rock, happening at a much faster rate. Physically weathering - water eroding a rock Chemical weathering - coca cola acids eating away at the rust of a nail. Hopefully this helped
Mechanical weathering physically breaks down rocks into smaller pieces through processes like frost wedging and root growth. Chemical weathering alters the composition of rocks through chemical reactions, such as oxidation or hydration, which changes the minerals present. Both processes work together to break down rocks and transform Earth's surface.
Both chemical and mechanical weathering breakdown a rock into particles, just in diffrent ways. Mechanical weathering is the physical weathering in which a rock is broken down into particles. Chemical weathering is the weathering in which rocks are disolved, decomposed , or loosend to change the minerals in the rock.
Weathering is a deconstructive force as it breaks down rocks into smaller fragments. This process is responsible for the physical breakdown of rocks into sediments through mechanical or chemical means.
The rates of mechanical weathering does not affect anything since the chemical properties remain unchanged. Only chemical weathering affects the chemical properties of an object.

It depends on what specific part. Or what object is wearing but generally it is called weathering or erosion. Weathering can be either chemical or natural. ;)

Weathering wears away at the surface of rocks and objects with chemical, which is plants, rooting into hard soil and breaking it apart, and physical, which happens with the rain, wind and snow or ice by filling small cracks in rocks, freezing then melting expanding and breaking apart the rock. All over time breaking apart the surface. And erosion takes the contents weathered off and degrades other object with moving water, and rocks that rub against eachother, waching away the weathering and erosion.
A chemical change is when the molecules of an object / solution are changed. A physical change is when the object / solution is altered without molecular change. Breaking glass is a physical change.

chemical: where the slight acidity of the rain cause a slow erosion. physical: where rain erodes the object quicker than chemical.
