yep. If you take a penny and drop it in coke and just leave it there for ages you will see the little pit marks on the coin where it is eating it away. I use coke on my battery terminals in my car to clean all the yuck off. Works like magic. I also heard that perimedics carry coke with them because it washes blood of concrete. Never tried that one before and don't have a clue if it is real.

However, Carbonic Acid, is a very weak acid, and is thus responsibe for very little of the acidity of soda. Other acids such as Citric Acid, Phosphoric Acid, and Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), are far more responsible for this acidity.
