In colonial times, many soldiers were needed for war. Although Prospect didn't have enough people to send as many men as bigger towns, it sent the highest percentage of its men, around 70%. In honor of the great contribution by the town of Prospect, they got a statue on their town green and a street named after them in every town. Sorry I couldn't be more specific, it's been about a year since I studied this.
