Air a bad conductor though it is a good convector. During summer the air in between the real and false ceiling will serve this purpose. Some how the hot air will at the top and as only heat comes right from the top. It is not the case of giving heat to water in vessel right from the bottom of the vessel. So air convection gets stopped and being air very bad conductor, heat will not be passed downward, hence the cooling in the room.
Same reason would establish that it will be better to have two blankets instead having single with the thickness doubled. Air in between two blankets would serve this purpose as a bad conductor.
Coz... false celing are generally made of pop that provide a layer of air between the two celing as the air is the poor conductor of heat it prevents the transmission of heat from either sides
Because heat naturally rises, a false ceiling will keep that heat closer to the ground, where we are.
When the Earth orbits, we get 4 seasons Summer,Autumn,Winter and Spring. So when we keep orbiting we get seasons. If one side of the world is Summer, the other side has Winter. If it is Spring at the top, it is Autumn at the bottom. When the sun is facing Australia and other countries it is Summer, for the other side it is Winter because the sun is hardly facing that side.Since th Earth tilts at the top if the sun is facind that side it is Spring, and the is Autumn because it's nearly time for Winter. It keeps swapping around. That's how we get the seasons But Winter cause where talking about it.

gravity keeps us in a circle
Fire hoses are made out of fireproof materials, but when dry, they can still burn in a really hot fire. But usually during a fire, the hoses have water in them which cools them and keeps them from burning.
The sun's gravitational pull keeps the earth in orbit around it.

it has blubber that keeps it warm during the winter
their fur keeps them warm, for one, and their blubber keeps them warm during the harsh winter weather
