What are some reasons to not ban fast food?

We all know it is bad for your health, so it should be down to the choice of each individual.

Fast food is a very different matter than other things which are banned/controlled such as alcohol or tobacco. No one needs to smoke or drink alcohol, but everyone needs to eat. Any amount of tobacco is harmful, but fast food can be eaten in moderation without harm.

The harm caused by abusing fast food is limited to the eater, while those that abuse alcohol or tobacco can harm others through drunk driving and second-hand smoke.

Fast food is a multi-billion dollar industry. The elimination of millions of jobs and the support mechanisms behind them would be devastating to the economy.

There are a whole series of arguments associated on the plus side as well. Their elimination would force society to slow down. More people would have to eat at home, which could lead to a better social structure, re-establishment of moral values and more cohesive families. It would also help make the country healthier, lowering the stain on the medical community and reducing the cost of medical insurance.

im not sure i would ban fast food because it makes loads of money but if you want bad things then here:

1. it is really fattening because it uses too much oil and so obesity rates are higher and millions die from obesity related diseases

2. it is really cheap so the manufacturers use bad quality food so they can buy ingredients cheaper.

3. because its so cheap people buy loads so it is easier to get fat on loads of it

4.it causes heart attacks and liver diseases

yes it should be illegal for a few resons the resons are that they use unhealthy meats in there foods with meat even arbys or apple beez isnt safe they use tons of grease some fast food places french fries never rot they have so much fat but some people just want a break and to not have to cook so that is a reson it should niot be illegal that is my opinion
