GM has progammable automatic door locks. These Modes and instructions are from the owners manual of a 2000 Grand Am. Mode 1 = All doors lock when shifted out of PARK, all doors unlock when shifted into PARK and TURNED OFF. Mode 2 = All doors lock when shifted out of PARK, only drivers door unlock in PARK and TURNED OFF (MODE 2 ONLY WORKS WITH REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY.) Mode 3 = All doors lock when shifted out of PARK, no auto unlock. Mode 4 = No auto lock or unlock. If you don't have an Owners Manual try these steps to program. Close all doors and turn key to ON (DO NOT START) hold LOCK on lock switch for 10 seconds, release when you hear chime. Count the number of chimes you hear, this is the number mode your car is in. Press and hold LOCK until the number of chimes match the number mode you want. I'm sorry i have no answer for your mirror problem. Good Luck!
lock both doors, and then unlock only the passenger door with the key.
You should be able to program it by going to the programming mode. If you have the content theft deterent system it must be disarmed. If the Avalanche is anything like a 2003 Chevy Silverado, you can program the door locks as follows: 1. With vehicle off, Pull back the High Beam headlight lever (High Beams are on) 2. Turn ignition key on and off twice (ON, OFF, ON, OFF) , then release the headlight lever. Your vehicle should respond my locking or unlocking the doors. 3. You can now PROGRAM your locks by pressing a three button code, using the unlock/lock buttons on your driver door. Your manual should have details of the buttons you should press. For example, Press Lock, Unlock, Unlock, - and your code will tell your when to unlock, or to unlock at all. Here are some of the possible Combinations (A and B) A - Do not Lock Doors Lock All doors When Vehicle Is Started Lock All doors When Vehicle is placed in DRIVE Lock All doors when Vehicle reaches speed of 5mph. + B Do not unlock doors Unlock Drivers side door only - when placed in park Unlock all doors - when placed in park Unlock Drivers side door only - when key is removed from ignition Unlock All doors- when key is removed from ignition. These are a few examples, that can be programmed by pressing the unlock/lock buttons (three times).. If you don't have your manual, then you can try random combinations. Once you enter your 3 button combination, the vehicle exits programming mode. You can now start the vehicle and test the locks. Or: Repeat the process.
NOPE, the only way around it is to NOT LOCK the doors with either elctric lock/unlock button--Lock the doors MANUALLY and the alarm wont set
In your manual there is a list, on page 2-8, for this, but it is very simple. put your car into the run position (not started) and hold the lock button down until a beep(s) is/are heard... 1 beep is Lock when out of park, unlock when in park. 2 beeps is only if you have a remote keyless entry, but locks all doors, and unlocks only the driver's door (if you really want to annoy some friends...believe me it works) 3 beeps is all doors lock, no unlock 4 beeps is no lock or unlock.
Only a Tech at the dealer can do it. He uses the standard scan-tool.
First of all, you can only pick lock with Alyssa. Second of all, you can only pick the lock of the doors that read "It's locked by a simple lock." Those are the only doors that you can pick lock.
This happens when the ignition has been of for a period of time the car is immobilised even when the key is left in the ignition. The only way to switch of the immobilizer is to lock the system, and that includes the doors and unlock. It does the same in my Holden.
Press UNLOCK on your key fob twice
If I understand your question correctly, your vehicle may have a separate relay for each function. The relay for locking the doors by using the switch has gone bad.
