The thermostat is the most likely cause, other than that the temp sensor could have failed sending the wrong temp reading to the gauge.
The thermostat doesn't open until 195 degrees. 210 is not that warm for that engine.
195 degrees
180 degrees F
this is normal for this engine, in fact anything short will trip a check engine light. the cause will be a low coolant condition, a thermostat stuck in the open position or a bad coolant sensor. this is normal for this engine, in fact anything short will trip a check engine light. the cause will be a low coolant condition, a thermostat stuck in the open position or a bad coolant sensor.
Its job is to block the flow of coolant to the radiator until the engine has warmed up. When the engine is cold, no coolant flows through the engine. Once the engine reaches its operating temperature (generally about 200 degrees F, 95 degrees C), the thermostat opens. By letting the engine warm up as quickly as possible, the thermostat reduces engine wear, deposits and emissions.
Whatever the thermostat is set at, usually 195 degrees.
depends on the thermostat. Typically 195 degrees Fahrenheit
yes because it will keep you cool in the summer and in winter keep your self warm A thermostat is a necessity in a modern engine. What ever the thermostat is set for, probably 195 degrees.
when your coolant in your engine gets a certain temperature, usually 180 degrees, your thermostat opens and your coolant circulates through your radiator and it keeps your engine cool so it wont overheat.
the average coolant temp depending on what thermostat is in the vehicle shold be between 175 degrees and 190 degrees
What ever the thermostat is set for, probably 195 degrees F.
