its simple, pressure built up in the engine from the heat and combustion
Your pour it in the oil fill opening after removing the cap.
Check valves in your vent lines stuck open erg valve , bad gas cap
On the engine block you should see a large black cap. Take that cap off and put the oil directly in there. (This is for a V6 Engine). ***The opening is large enough for you to see in. I would recommend wiping the rim on the inside of the opening to check for oil residue. This way you know for sure you have the right opening.***
There is a cap on the top of the valve cover. If you remove it you will be able to add oil in the engine though the opening behind the cap. Be careful don't overfill the engine.
Hey Marty==Probaly not enough to hurt it. It may leak a little but there is no preasure there. GoodluckJoe
Step One Locate the oil filler cap on top of the engine. Remove it. (It has an oil symbol) near the Black Triton Plastic Cover. Step Two Place the funnel in the opening and pour in the new oil. quarts of oil. Step Three Replace the cap when you're finished.
Changing the oil in an Exmark depends on the model. Look for the opening to drain the oil underneath the Exmark . Unscrew the cap with a wrench and drain the oil. It is recommended to change the filter and refresh the oil every 100 hours.

cap that covers the oil fill hole in engine
If the engine is off and you look into the opening where the oil cap goes, do you see a lot of mecanical gewgaws just inside (most likely the rocker arms for the cylinder valves)? If so ... yeah, it's probably normal for oil to splatter around a bit, to the extent that it could be considered "normal" to operate a car without the oil cap on in the first place... I'm not sure why you would be doing this.
'Hiss' is an onomatopoeia, often describing the sound of air escaping. The snake made a loud hiss and raised up it's head, ready to strike.First a pop, then a sharp hiss, 'NO!' he exclaimed, 'Not another flat tyre!'The cat made a hiss when we entered the room. The oil in the frying pan began to crackle and hiss, so we knew it was time to add the bacon.
