Primary Succession begins from scratch and it forms from desolate land. Primary Succession needs time to pass starting from rocks to lichens and mosses to grasses, etc. Secondary Succession, on the other hand, is formed from a disaster or human interaction on an ecosystem that was most likely in bad shape. Secondary Succession will definetely help an ecosystem because it adds more nutrients to the soil afterwards. I hope this helps! This is just from my own knowledge.
Ecosystems change over time for many reasons. The basic way to look at it is cause and effect. If something changes, then plants and animals adapt to it or other species move in. For example: If the land is covered in forest, only animals adapted to the forest live there. Then if that forest is burned, after a year or so the land is a grassland. Those forest animals cannot find the food they need anymore, so they will move. They probably won't adapt fast enough to survive, because adaptation occurs over many generations. So if the forest biome is destroyed, there is now space and food for grassland plants and animals. Unless something like bison or cows keeps the grass from growing, the forest will start growing back. Then those grassland animals will move or adapt. Here are some causes of what can set this change in motion.
Volcano Eruption
Erosion
Wildfire
Global Warming
Introduced Species
Hunting
Human Building
Hurricane
Weather changes from day to day, so yesterday's weather could be very different from today's. Climate is the pattern of weather over a number of years. We can't see that climate is changing until we can compare it to what it was like ten years ago. This is why climate changes slowly.
the conditions are rough, very few resources
i think it takes longer becasue everything gets destryed hope i helped im only 12
Ecological succession takes place slowly because the organisms have to grow from very little or no nutrients. The only time it will happen more quickly is when there are more organisms.
Sometimes erosion happens very fast. For example, in times of flood, rivers can cause a lot of damage through erosion. Also during storms the sea can erode large portions of a beach.
Weathering, or erosion changes the Earth's surface slowly over time.

Erosion
Well, first of all, there is chemical and physical changes. Erosion can happen by the water constantly hitting the sand or rocks and causing them to change.
wind can carry a lot of debris, that debris can come in contact with rocks, which slowly degrade the rock from the outside in
The erosion is diffrent like wind erosion can happen in dry places
The evidence that scientist have that erosion works slowly over a long period of time is that Arizona is the result of close to three million years of erosion.

weathering and erosion are steps that happen when it rains.
Erosion happens on land, which makes it erod :)
Erosion is the process by which the surface of the earth is worn away by the action of water, wind, etc. Erosion happens mostly on mountains.
they are not do to erosion.
