Yes. Sometimes radio stations don't have censors, they do exist. Radio stations don't have censors, but their license to operate is granted by the FCC (in the US), and the FCC regulations include a rule that prohibits profanity, obscenity, or indecency on broadcast programing. If a station owner knowingly permits it, he can be fined big bucks and/or lose his license.
The seven dirty words first aired over the radio by comedian George Carlin in 1972 caused the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to formally establish what they call "indecency regulation" in American broadcasting. A complaint was filled with the FCC after a father and son heard Carlin's "Filthy Words" monologue on their car radio. Following the complaint, the FCC asked Pacifica radio station for a response, then issued a declaratory order upholding the complaint.
