it doesn't matter how bright the light is in order to break free the electrons from the substrate but the kind of colour used is very important. This is because electron will start to move when light is up close to the blue end of the spectrum.

The photoelectric effect mainly explained based on wave nature of the light. Einstein proved the when light ray incident on any surface that emits (loses) the electron this phenomenon is called photoelectric effect.

photoelectric effect is independent of intensity of a light. we know intensity is means number of photon per particular beam of light. one electron can consume only of photon(form energy) of so intensity not effects the the photoelectric effect.

photoelectric effect is dependent on frequency of the light.E = hf (E=energy of light , h= plank constant, f =frequency of light.) if you more information abut photoelectric effect Contact (kumar.chirraiiit@gmail.com)

Is solar power a clean power source?

Yes, solar power is a clean power source. It produces no waste products due to running off of the photoelectric effect.

If you are running a photoelectric effect experiment which adjustment might cause more current to flow?

Switching to a brighter light source. Switch to a light source with a higher intensity.

Can we get photons from uv rays to perform photoelectric effect at night?

Yes, but not from the sun. At night, you'd need an artificial source of UV, such as a "black light".

Are all metals useful for photo electric effect?

The photoelectric effect can be demonstrated using any metal. But for some ofthem, you might have to come up with a source of inconveniently-high-energyE&M radiation in order to demonstrate it.

If you are running a photoelectric effect experiment and your light source cannot create an electric current which adjustment might cause an electric current to flow?

- select the adequate material for this experiment - switch to a light source with a shorter wavelength - switch to a light source with a higher intensity

What must happen in order for the photoelectric effect to occur?

A metal of a certain ionization potential.A light source that provides light of that exact energy potential.a circuit that has all the other components needed.

Which two statements describe the reasons a solar cell must contain semiconductors?

Semiconductors serve as a source of electrons to form an electrical current. Semiconductors form a path for the electrons that are released by the photoelectric effect.

In the Photoelectric effect after the threshold frequency what effect does the increased frequency have on the photocurrent If you assume the Intensity of the source to be constant?

The increased frequency increases the kinetic energy of the single electron ejected. Remember that the incident light releases a single electron when the threashod frequency is reached
