Why does a computer start up faster when restarting than it does when it is first turned on?
When a computer is turned on, it runs a Power-On Self Test (POST) to make sure the hardware is initially set and in working order before booting up. When you re-start, the computer never loses power, and so the POST step is skipped.

How do you restart a lap top computer?
Restarting a laptop computer is just like restarting a desktop computer. If you are on a windows computer you go to the start button in the lower left hand connor of your screen. Click on the start button. Click shut down computer when it bring up a box that gives you may options like shut down, restart or log off. Click the restart button. If your on a mac computer, go to the top left hand connor, click the apple picture than click restart. If your on a Linux computer go to the top right hand connor and click the power button, then click restart.
My computer keeps restarting before I get to the desktop. What can I do?
I think what your computer has a virus. If you don't want to spend any money you could run a clean install, but that would wipe out everything on the computer and you would have to rerun the start up disk. Or if you spend a good chunk of money, you could get a professional to open up the command prompt to remove the virus. Your computer may have the Ezula virus, that's what my computer had and it did the same thing.
