I have a focus se 2001 with 13 gal tank. Just when the gas empty light came on, I stopped for gas and the pump metered out 10.8 gals. 13-10.8= 2.2 gals.
I do not understan your question. You cannot fill up an empty gas tank? Is that what you are saying?
Pilot light alone will not produce enough heat to damage the tank, but the main burner will destroy the tank and possibly start a fire. Why would anyone want to leave the pilot light on an empty tank?
It is you gas tank; empty all gas out, then drop tank.
You will have to remove the gas tank. Then you have the option to pour the gas through the filler neck or remove the pump assembly and empty it that way.
Gas tank
Gas tank
If it's absolutely empty, then it's 22 gallons but if you fill it when the gas light comes on, it's 20 gallons.
probably no gas, if there is gas then your gauge in the tank is broken or frozen
yes you have to removed the gas tank, disconnet the battery first and empty any gas in the tank
youll have to drop the gas tank and empty it... dont start it the car either
The fuel sensor in the gas tank is bad and needs replaced.
