The media isoverwhelmingly liberal and democrat. That is a fact. This fact accounts for their support of Obama. The media's critical, unfair and partisan coverage of former President of the United States, George Bush, was a precursor to influencing a gullible country that their president was indeed inept.
The liberal media supports a woman's right to have an abortion and so does Obama. They also love the idea of themselves as the first party to elect a black president. However, they seemed to have no such compunction against using every horrible slur against a woman, Sarah Palin, who was running for vice-president, even to the point of publishing false implications of incest between her husband and their pregnant teenage daughter. The hypocrisy is blatant for the democrats will stoop to anything to promote their agenda, even the demoralizing attack of a sitting governor was not beneath them--so much for a party claiming to take the high ground.
Now that Obama is president, the media who helped to have him elected will bend over backwards to make sure every word, every policy and every decision Obama makes is presented in the best possible light. It would not do to have to admit that they were wrong and that their previous actions helped to elect an unqualified miscomfit to the highest office in the land.
Most of media are more respectful than that. However, some are not. Unfortunately, it may be that many Americans are just disrespectful of their leaders no matter which party they come from. Still, I think disrespect is a form of protected First Amendment Speech. But it is not proper. The office of President and the President himself should be treated with more respect.
While some of the media like Obama, others, such as Fox News and Rush Limbaugh, most definitely do not like him.
Yes, former presidents like Barack Obama are protected by the United States Secret Service for their lifetime after leaving office. The Secret Service provides security and protection to former presidents and their families.
President Obama has several phones, one of which is a Blackberry, according to media reports.
The Media is protected under the 1st amendment (freedom of speech and press) they have the same rights as people do, they just use it for their job.
"There are thousands of Obama videos gracing the Internet on social media sites such as You Tube and Facebook. In addition, many government and news media sites would also archive videos of Obama's press conferences and interviews."
Michelle Obama. She is talked about in mainstream media around the world.
For now it appears Acorn will continue to be protected and funded by the current administration and shielded by the liberal biased/owned media. My question was why Sen Lautenberg are you not voting to investigate Acorn I would like an answer
he was the president of the united States he protected us ;)
Yes, it is possible that Barack Obama could be your friend, although his spare time to spend with friends is very limited while he is President. He must live a highly protected and private life style due to the numerous threats he gets, the annoying paparazzi, and the media. Though you could be his friend, it's not likely you would get the opportunity to know him that well, at least until after he is no longer so busy as President.
Based on the First Amendment in the Bill of Rights of the US Constitution, the media meaning to mean the news media is protected by the freedom of speech clause in the First Amendment. This also protects everyone from censure by the government.
