I think you are asking why your van wont rev past 3000 RPMs. The problem is, there are man possible reasons. Could be clogged fuel filter, or bad catalytic converter, or bad spark plugs, bad wires, cracked distribute cap. There are probably 100 reasons this could happen. Would be helpful for you to take it to a shop and get the computer code read. That would give you a better idea.

sounds like mine. it was the transmission. sorry. it got up to about 1500 rpm's and then bucked and dropped. would not go past 1500 rpm's at all.
