A majority of their population appreciate classic architecture and care about what they see out their windows. This is the author of the question: NO. Look at London. It's rubbish. Only good things about it: It's history, St Paul's Cathedral, the museums, Parliament, tower bridge and canary warf. Alot more room for skyscrapers.

there isn't a King of England, mainly because England isn't in own country any more, the Queen of The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is Queen Elizabeth II.
There weren't any really - Britain's an ancient country, all accounts of discovery are mainly folklore
When the great depression hit Britain, its economy flopped badly because they had no money to manufacture any more iron, steel, textile, etc. The value of pounds dropped that it wasnt worth the price of gold anymore. The economy of Britain couldnt lend out loans to other countries anymore and they couldnt continue their trade with their main trader Germany.
Yes, there are lots of them.
yes, there are some skyscrapers in Paris, but local regulations prevent that type of housing to spread everywhere in the city.

Yes, the New York City skyline is littered with skyscrapers.
Skyscrapers were important because they did not take up any more ground space. So, by adding to the building by going up, there was more space created without the loss of ground around the building.
Probably because skyscrapers can hold more things than any other type of structure given the amount of area. Besides, would you rather go to an island with a hut, or a skyscraper?
Unfortunately there are no true skyscrapers in Washington DC. By law the tallest structure must be shorter than the Washington Monument (at 550 ft).
it doesnt have any predators but Humans are the closest to a predator for a great white shark. Or a killer whale. Great whites dont wealy have any predators.
England is part of the island of Great Britain and as an island isn't actually 'on' any continent but is geographically and politically linked to the continent of Europe.
