Globalization has resulted in turmoil and dislocation for many people around the world.
Globalization can bring about dislocation and inequality.
Globalization can bring about dislocation and inequality. Many people living in formerly prosperous, or at least formerly inhabitable, areas resent the abuse and illegal theft of their land, property, and Natural Resources by large, corrupt countries like the U.S. Many U.S. based countries employ slave labor in third world countries because slavery is illegal in the U.S. Additionally, most of the world's landmines and accessible weapons are made in the U.S., as the U.S. government refuses to acknowledge, possibly due to the large financial contributions made by weapons manufactures to politicians personal bank accounts/election campaigns, and so continues to make the country's rich richer by giving weapons to terrorists. Furthermore, the most practical, efficient, and effective way for a person who blames their life's problems on pseudo-demonic corporations to get revenge, and the only way such a person could improve the living conditions for his home's future generations (assuming he had a home and that home has not yet been bombed into the ground by the U.S. military while occupied by his family and friends) is to engage in guerrilla warfare, striking his enemies' unexpectedly and then retreating to the shadows before retaliation can be summoned. For additional information about the myriad negative effects of the current global economic system, see the link to the Story of Stuff.
Terrorism has become a world wide problem because of terrorists who want to bring attention to a cause they have that cannot be won by normal military methods.
As an example, after the fall of the Saddam regime in Iraq, several countries had military personnel in Iraq. These included soldiers from the USA, UK, Spain, Canada & Italy as examples that come to mind.
Terrorists wanted these military personnel out of Iraq. Spain was threatened to have terrorism strike their country unless Spanish troops were withdrawn. Spain did not follow or obey these threats. The terrorists had no "army" to combat the Spanish troops so they planted bombs in Spain's train system in Madrid and killed many civilians. The Spanish troops were withdrawn, however the terrorists were caught & tried.
Recently in Boston, USA, terrorists who were against USA foreign policies in Islamic nations planted bombs at a marathon race. There were many casualties and about 4 deaths. The terrorists (2 ) were caught. One was shot in a gun fight the other is in jail awaiting trial.

global. terrorism happens all over the world in different places Second answer: >Terrorism generally happens on a local scale within a country, so it could be described as a local problem, but there are numerous cases of international terrorism, and the involvement of other countries to prevent or promote terrorism mean that terrorism is a global issue.
The relationship between the terms terrorism and global network is that terrorists and terrorism can come from anywhere in the globe. Terrorists work together in a global network to plan their attacks on their enemies.
Individuals or groups have used fear and intimidation to achieve political goals.

You will have to ask the person who uses the term. I haven't seen anything "new" about global terrorism, so the concept must be in the mind of the person who says it.
