An inflated balloon bursts if it is pressed hard because the molecules inside the balloon squeeze when it is pressed hard and air exerts pressure so the balloon bursts and let the air molecules escape from the balloon.

When you press a inflated balloon, the air inside the balloon has nowhere to escape and it creates pressure against the walls of the balloon. If you press too hard, the pressure can overcome the strength of the balloon material, causing it to burst.

Why does a balloon burst when you press on it too hard?

When you press on a balloon too hard, the air pressure inside the balloon increases, causing the balloon to expand. Eventually, the balloon reaches its elastic limit and cannot stretch any further, resulting in it bursting.

Why is it the balloon will not explode when you put it on the many pins?

It takes a certain amount of force to push a pin into a balloon to pop it. When you put the balloon on the pins the weight of the balloon is creating the force pushing on it. When there are many pins this force is shared by the many pins. If the weight of the balloon were 20 milligrams and there were 20 pins, each pin would only be pushing against the balloon with a force of 1 milligram. If it takes 5 milligrams pushing a pin into a balloon to pop it no one pin is pushing that hard. On the other hand if it were resting on three or fewer pins it would pop. [NOTE: I have no idea how much balloons weigh nor how many milligrams of force pressing a pin into a balloon is required to burst it. The numbers given are for illustrative purposes only. ]

How far can a water balloon rolls before it bursts?

The distance a water balloon can roll before it bursts depends on various factors such as the size and thickness of the balloon, the surface it is rolling on, and the force with which it impacts obstacles. Generally, a water balloon is more likely to burst when rolling on a hard and uneven surface compared to a smooth and soft surface.

How do you stretch out a water balloon?

To stretch out a water balloon, gently pull on opposite ends of the balloon to gradually expand its size. Be careful not to pull too hard and pop the balloon. Another method is to fill the balloon with water and then slowly massage and manipulate the balloon to stretch it out.

How strong is a water balloon?

The strength of a water balloon depends on the material it is made of and how much water it contains. Typically, a water balloon made of latex or rubber can withstand a moderate amount of pressure before bursting. However, if it is overfilled or subjected to sharp objects, it will burst easily.

A hard drive that is Ultra ATA 100 has a burst transfer rate of 100MB per second, in one burst, not all the time.
