Quite simply, due to the importance of Jesus Christ for Christians, it has been decided to start counting years from the (estimated) year of His birth.
By the way, the way years are counted traditionally, there is no such year as "0 AD". The year before 1 AD (1 after Christ) is the year 1 BC (1 before Christ).
When christ was born the yearly calender started at 0 A.D he wasnt actually born on Christmas but it was close so that is why they did it.
This depends on the sport. For the NFL, the 2008 Detroit Lions who went 0-16.
It means Before Christ. (Christ was born in the year 0). BC stands for Before Christ. So 1000BC is 1000 years Before Christ was born

AD stands for Anno Domini and is the dating system used after the birth of Christ in the year 0. All years before that are known as BC or Before Christ. An example is 2016 AD, which is the year we are currently in and every year since the year 0 is an AD year.
It starts as love-all (0-0,) then if one person gets the point it is 15-love (you always say your score first. If that same person gets another point the score is 30-love (2-0,) and if the same person scores again the score is 40-love (4-0.) If you are tied you say the score, and then say "all." For example 30-all (2-2.) In ad-scoring the initial score is "deuce," if you win the point, you say "as-in." If you lose the point you say, "ad-out." If you are tied during ad, you will say "ad-all." I know it's a little confusing, you'll get used to it.
Nothing, because there was no "0 AD". The timeline went from 1BC directly to 1AD.
Not a constant, but the differential, i.e. gradient, of the equation. It = 0 at maxima and minima, where the curve is at its turning-point(s).
The ISBN of The Turning - stories - is 0-330-43830-1.
It is the point of origin which is located at (0, 0) on the Cartesian plane
Somewhere between AD 0 and AD 2012, I'm guessing....
25th December (0 AD?)
There is no year 0000 in the Gregorian calendar system commonly used today. The year following 1 BC is 1 AD. Mistakenly referring to the year before 1 AD as "0" is a common dating error, but in reality, it does not exist in the calendar system.
I think you mean love. Love is 0. 15 is the first point. 30 is the second point. 40 is the third point. After that, the player gets the game unless each player gets to 40-40. Then, this is called deuce and then one of the players has to win both points after that. If not, they play until one of the players wins the two consecutive points after 40-40. (Ad-in if you win the point after 40-40 and then ad-out if you lose the point after 40-40)
It is at the point of origin which is at (0, 0)
