Restricting the amount of pollution that companies can put into the environment has been controversial, for example: scientists and environmentalists see it as a worthy and necessary step to take; but businesses have claimed it would be expensive to implement and would cost them jobs, or they have said the formula used for calculating amounts of pollutants is unfair. On several occasions, President Obama has had to make compromises in EPA rules in order to get bills through congress. Whether that is good or bad depends on your points of view, but it is not accurate to say he is against the Clean Air Act.
