Unlike Mercury, Venus has an atmosphere that consists mostly of carbon dioxide, and this atmosphere has a good reflective property thus making it appear bright. Also Venus is much closer to the earth, making it much more noticeable.
One reason why Venus is brighter than Jupiter is because venus is closer to earth, and therefore seems brighter. Another reason is the light reflectivity...
Sorry if this was not the anwser you expected...
because Mercury has no atmosphere and Venus has a very very thick atmosphere and that atmosphere is composed mostly of carbon dioxide which is a green house gas that traps in heat from the Sun.
This is a combination of Venus' albedo, size and proximity.
Venus is covered in a thick layer of clouds that reflect a lot of sunlight. The fraction of light that an object reflects is called its albedo, so we say that Venus as a very high albedo.
Venus is also fairly large - almost as big as Earth. This means it has a lot of surface to reflect light off of. It is nowhere near as big as Jupiter or Saturn, but it makes up for it by being closer to Earth.
Venus is also the planet that gets the closest to us. However it isn't always the closest planet to us - if Venus is on the opposite side of the sun to Earth while Mars is on the same side as us then Mars will be closer to us than Venus. But Mars doesn't get as bright as Venus, because it is smaller, and darker (i.e. it has a lower albedo).
So it's a combination of being close to us, having an atmosphere that reflects a lot of light, and being fairly sizeable for a rocky planet.
Venus is called the brightest planet because it absorb a lot of sunlight
There are a several reasons:
there is more volcanoes on venus than mercury
Simply, because it is closer and larger than Mars.
Because it has a highly reflective atmosphere made of gases
The Sun is much brighter than Venus - Look up into the sky and see.
no
Venus is hotter than Mercury because Venus traps heat and cannot escape from the Sun in the atmosphere.
Mercury is hotter than Venus and Venus is brighter than Mercury
Venus is hotter than Mercury because Venus has a atmosphere and Mercury doesn't so Mercury can't keep so much heat in as Venus can.
Venus and Mercury, Venus is hotter though
no

venus is hotter but mercury is the one closest to the sun
mercury is hotter Venus has long been considered the hottest planet due to the cloud cover and its creating an enormous greenhouse effect. I do not believe Mercury is hotter.
Even though Mercury is closer to the sun than Venus, Venus is hotter because it has a dense atmosphere that traps the suns heat while Mercury does not.
Mercury is hotter than Venus and Venus is brighter than Mercury
Venus is hotter than Mercury because Venus has a atmosphere and Mercury doesn't so Mercury can't keep so much heat in as Venus can.
Venus and Mercury, Venus is hotter though
Venus and Mercury
Venus is hotter than Mercury because its atmosphere is made up of carbon dioxide, which traps the heat. The average temperature of Venus is 864 degrees Fahrenheit, which is about 300 degrees hotter than Mercury.
They are closer to the sun.
