There are many causes of such whistling noise coming from a motor. These includes but are not limited to:

  • A broken brusher rubbing against the commutator.
  • Loose bearings
  • A damaged armature winding rubbing against the field windings.

Why does the 03 Chrysler sebring makes a loud squeak whistling noise when running the fan motor I have adjusted the bolts and screws what do I do?

If the squeak changes with fan speed, the fan needs replaced.

Why is your car making a grinding noise when you have the AC or heat on and you brake to slow the car and or give it gas?

It is probably a worn blower motor, because it happens with AC, and/or HEAT. When you brake or speed up, you are changing the speed of the motor (adding and taking away resistance to it's spinning). This will cause more of a noise until you reach your cruising speed again.

When you pedal on your bike my bike keeps making a noise how can you fix it?

If you have a speed adjuster, it is probably making the noise because the speed adjuster is probably off of the gear. For example: speed adj. =3 and gear =4

The AC works only on the highest settin and when it blows its making a noise what could be the problem?

As for why it blows only on the high speed you most likely will have a bad blower resister and for the noise, it could be a bad blower motor, bad blower wheel or trash that is stuck in the blower wheel or housing.......

Will clogged air filter cause a car's engine to run loudly?

Theoretically possible as the constricted airspace will increase the airspeed to compensate and the turbulence with the speed can create a whistling type of noise. This is of course theoretical and unlikely.

What is the reason of noisy motor operation?

Worn out bearing, misaligned shaft, single pahsing, loose body, abnormal speed - all may result in noise

What would cause a whistling noise upon accelerating in a 1999 jeep Cherokee The noise stops once the speed becomes constant?

A vacuum leak usually from the intake manifold gasket or brake booster hose/connection will cause a whistle upon partial acceleration. It will usually go away when your foot is off the gas or when more throttle is applied.

Why is your 1996 Cadillac sedan deville making a backfire noise from the engine compartment while at a steady speed?

If a 1996 Cadillac Sedan DeVille is making a backfire noise from the engine compartment while at a steady speed, it is probably due to a bad oxygen sensor. The vehicle could also have one cylinder that is not firing or a problem with missing exhaust or the catalytic converter.

What is the speed of DC series motor at no load?

No load speed is the speed that the motor run when it has no load, i.e., the motor is separated from the engine, that speed is than greater than the rated speed, because the rated speed is the speed whwn the motor are linked to the load and it is the full load.

Why is a synchronous speed motor considered a constant speed motor?

synchronous motor is a constant speed motor because it will only run at a synchronous speed or not at all.the speed can be changed by changiing the frequency only ns=120f/p

What is the Effect of reduced the frequency from supply frequency on induction motor?

The main difference will be the motor's torque will be decreased, potentially making it undersized for its' purpose. The motor's speed will also be decreased since n=(120f)/P.

Which DC motor is constant speed motor?

Dc shunt motor is constant speed motor. Its speed is constant with armature current. This shunt motor is used in paper mills and drilling machines
