Better question is why are HUMANS important to the ecosystem? Considering we are its greatest threat. In answering your question though, Polar Bears are natural hunters. I know no one likes to see the cut baby seals get eaten but in all honesty Polar Bears keep their population down much like lions do with antelope. There has to be a natural balance in an ecosystem. If Polar Bears don't eat the animals they do then those animals florish (think that's not bad?) and in that case the non eaten animals run out of food stores at which point they begin to starve to death and possibly, because of their large consumption of the animals THEY eat, they take a chance of starving out other populations as well.
polar bears are important because they keep the seals ,whale , and other sea creaters down from over populating on the earth and it would not be fair if we kil them all for no resone ever body and ever living thing on this earth have the right and the freedom to be on this earth just like we do
Polar bears are considered as a "keystone" species, because they eat fishes, seals, and beluga whales. By eating these organism, the polar bears are controlling the balance of their population, so that they don't overproduce because if they do overproduce then there wouldn't be enough food for them to eat that they will starve and die.
Polar bears are the top predators in Arctic region .They are part of ecosystem. every organism in a food chain and food web has ecological importance .
Because its our national animal along with the beaver and moose
They aren't really "important" to our society. They are an endangered species. If we what to see them in the future we should protect them. Also Coca Cola uses a polar bear as its logo.
No, the largest species of bear is the Kodiak bear :D
No. It's a bear species.
The polar bear.

No, the polar bear is classified as vulnerable.
yes there is only one polar bear its named the white polar bear
Polar bear is their species. They are a type of marine mammal.
As of now, the polar bear is a vulnerable species, not on the endangered species list, as some populations are increasing.
A polar bear lives in the cold and a bear can live any where.

The Polar bear is a giant apex predator and hence it shares a Predator - Prey relationship with other species.
