because it just is. deal with it. like jeez.
nothing is very stupid
Zirconium and zirconium alloys are very thermoresistants; this property is extremely important for some external components of space aircraft.
their suits are very heavy.
Their bodies would become very weak.
they might be able to. that is not a very great question unless you are going into space
No, we cannot breathe in space because the oxygen level is very low. astronauts have to carry oxygen tanks to space.
Astronauts need to sleep at regular intervals in space because in space, say and night do not exist. On earth the earth rotates on it's axis causing day and night. Periods of light and dark. If you have ever had jet lag, you realize that even a small change in time zones can throw your sleep cycles off a great deal. Traveling great distances on the earth causes greater sleep disturbances. It can be noon where you are, but your body clock can say it is midnight, and of course vice verse. So astronauts have to plan to sleep at regular intervals, in order to stay rested, alert, and able to perform the needed procedures when they need to. Regular work outs are very important on prolonged visits to space, due to several factors. The first is the absence of gravity. In space there is very little if any gravity. Our bodies are used to gravity trying to hold us down on the earth. Gravity is what makes our muscles, and skeletal system strong. As we are always fighting against gravity. In reality we are always lifting weights on earth, because gravity is always pulling us down. In space there is little or no gravity. And in a very short time our muscles and bones can atrophy. Because of this work outs are very important. The other major factor is pressure. On earth there is a great deal of pressure pushing on every square inch of our bodies. The weight or pressure of all of the atmosphere above us, is constantly trying to crush us. Think about scuba diving. Every foot you dive below the surface adds the weight, or the pressure, of the water above to your body. This is why divers must decompress before returning to the surface. The tremendous pressure of the water above compresses the gases in your body. As the diver returns to the surface the pressure decreases and the gases expand. In space you have the exact opposite problem. In space there is little if any pressure. No gravity and no pressure is bad because our bodies are designed to work at their best with the pressure and gravity on earth. In space our hearts are less productive. So are our lungs, muscles, bones and circulatory systems. Astronauts must work out in order to combat the problems of no pressure or gravity. Most astronauts return to earth with less muscle mass, and bone density then before they left. Some astronauts on the space station, who have been in space for very long periods of time can barely stand up when they return to earth, because of the lack of pressure and gravity. Their bodies become weaker because there is no force pushing against them or holding them down.
No astronaut has ever complained of boredom in space. NASA keeps the astronauts very busy during their valuable time in space. There is very little downtime in space.
Without gravity, food aromas waft away before making it to the nose. When you cannot smell very well you can't taste very well. And because of the fluid shifting to the head, astronauts' nose will be stuffy. Astronauts have to maintain a balanced and healthy diet that prevents them from losing weight.
It is difficult as it is very , very costly and quite dangerous there. And there will be people to protest the wasting of money and so on.
Astronauts wear pressure suits to maintain atmospheric pressure (or something close to it) around their bodies. Without a pressurized suit, astronauts would not be able to absorb oxygen through their lungs (even with an air hose) and would pass out within a few seconds. In addition, dissolved gases in the blood and tissues form bubbles and cause extreme swelling; this is also due to water in the blood and tissues turning into vapor at very low pressure. Exposure to the vacuum of space is fatal after about 90 seconds.
Astronauts, Or Cosmonauts if you're Russian, Wear spacesuits in outer space because there is no Oxygen to breathe out in the inky vacuum of space. It is also very cold in space and the suits help keep the astronauts warm, they also offer various facilities for an astronaut. Such as communication devices to speak to each other or to their ship or base back on earth.
