In general, this will be true because most algebra courses require arithmetic training beforehand, implying that algebra is the use of arithmetic with some kick at the end.

Is calculus harder than linear algebra?

The answer depends very much on your aptitude, and possibly your interest: there are no absolutes. Some people find calculus easy but not linear algebra and others are the opposite.

Why is Algebra difficult for some people?

This is like asking "why is science hard for some people?" People are different, and their brains are different. Algebra is hard for some people because they have not learned the skills needed to begin. If a person does not learn enough basic math, algebra is almost impossible! You need to be very good at times tables, fractions and be able to math in your head. You also need to understand negative numbers very well. If you do not understand these things, you cannot understand algebra. You may be able to take an algebra class, but it will be very hard for you. Algebra is hard for some students because they are not ready to learn an "abstract" subject like algebra. "Asbstact" subjects involve ideas that are only in your head, and you cannot touch or see them. A person has to be at a certain stage of growth before he/she is ready to learn algebra. And, it algebra is hard for some people just because they do not like it. It is hard to learn anything you do not like, and are not interested in. No matter why a person finds it hard, there are always ways to help them make it easier. Please talk honestly to your math teacher if it is hard for you. She can help you find ways to succeed! some people dont understand math maybe they get confused!!!!!!

What is the difference between intermidiate algebra and advanced algebra?

intermediate algebra is like medium difficulty. advanced algebra is harder for some people. that comes down to opinion... but advanced algebra teaches a more difficult or higher level math. its kind of like learning high school math in middle school, or college math in high school.

Is geometry harder than algebra?

Well, it depends. If you do really good in algebra, and keep up the good work, then you'll be alright in geometry. Some people say geometry is harder than Algebra, while others say geometry iz fun and much easier. It all really depends on how u look @ it.+++I find the existence of these questions difficult to understand, because they seem to hang on a rather strange approach to mathematics! If you struggle with algebra you will struggle with all branches of mathematics; but you may find geometry easier than pure algebra because it handles 2- or 3- dimensional entities which you can picture, mentally or by sketch on paper, but algebra is less amenable to pictorial analogues. However, it is important to realise that all these topics are not independent and isolated, but are interdependent fields of mathematics. You can't separate algebra from any other area of maths!

What do you do if you are bored with Algebra?

Some people apparently post fatuous questions on the algebra section of WikiAnswers!

Does Algebra II contain any Geometry in it?

Algebra II contains some Geometry concepts that could be taught inside of Algebra II if necessary, but it is easier to take Geometry first in order to fully understand these concepts.

How will you remember the properties of Algebra?

There are many different areas within algebra: linear algebra, algebraic structures, algebraic geometry, vector algebra and so on. Some properties are valid in only some of these and not in others. You need to understand what the properties mean and perhaps keep in mind one or two examples where the property is valid.

Is algebra easy?

For some people, algebra is ,fun and easy. For others, it's quite difficult. It depends on how you learn how it's done.

What are some issues concerning learning and doing algebra?

There are no really major issues in the way of learning and doing algebra. A few things which can cause problems are being unable to understand the use of algebra in real problems and thus being unwillin gto understand and just forgetting of vital facts. I'd say a facility with symbolic material and analytic skills.
