A high protein breakfast is important to prevent hypo-glycemia (low blood sugar), in the morning hours. A breakfast high in sugar can make this worse. Low blood sugar can interfere with alertness, concentration, learning, etc. So although important for everyone it is of particular importance to children/students. Breakfast is important because it effects your metabolism. If you miss breakfast, your body has to use stored energy to perform, taxing your system and telling your body to store more fat in the cells. It tells your body that if we get fed less, we should store more food as fat. It is more healthy to eat 5 small meals a day than just one.
Breakfast provides energy that your body needs to make it through the day.

I'm a teenager and normally its because we in a hurry or we would rather watch TV ... you need to ask them why they aren't eating as well because sometimes teenagers starve themselves thinking they are fat. If this doesn't answer your question seek medical advice this person might have a eating disorder. How do you ask questions on here ? Please help :)

Most teens should eat a bowl of cereal that is low in calories and high in protein. Also they should avoid really high sugar in cereals. They should eat a banana with there cereal and put fruit in it.

A healthy breakfast is important for everyone. When I say healthy, I mean, eat a vegetable or a fruit. It is a lot better that some cereal full of sugar, or some meat, that is cooking in it's own fat.

When you skip a meal, and become hungry, your body changes itself, and when you do eat again, it latches onto the food, and you gain weight.
