It is dangerous to breathe significant amounts of excess carbon dioxide because carbon dioxide forms carbonic acid in the blood. The carbonic acid changes blood pH, which has major effects on biochemical processes.
Although chemically inert, if it replaced the air we breathe we would all suffocate because it does not have free oxygen molecules. The body cannot deal with oxygen that is bound to anything else. There are some caves, where, if you walk your dog, it will die of suffocation, because the first foot or so above the ground is a "pool" of carbon dioxide (it is heavier than air) which has seeped through the rocks. It is dangerous, because you cannot smell it, you just suddenly pass out.
some carbon dioxide is poisionious and they contain sulptour gases in when we breathe in we will start to faint.
the burning of fossil fuels
It is ONE of the causes
excess carbon dioxide
Metabolic toxins, waster products like oxygen for plant cells and carbon dioxide for animal cells. Anything that is in excess
Excess, or additional carbon dioxide is added to the atmosphere only by the burning of fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas), and a very small amount from volcanic activity. All other carbon dioxide moves in and out of the oceans, atmosphere and land as part of the normal carbon cycle, which includes the growing and dying of vegetation.Fossil fuels release carbon dioxide that was taken out of the atmosphere (when the vegetation grew) 300 million years ago, so it is extra.
carbon dioxide
Carbon Dioxide & Water, Complete burning with excess of oxygen gives out Carbon Dioxide(CO2) + Water , While incomplete burning with limited amount of oxygen gives out Carbon monoxide (CO) + Water
Oxygen in excess: carbon dioxide is obtained. Not sufficient oxygen: carbon monoxide is obtained.
global warming
Yes.
The oxygen cells Actually the carbon dioxide is removed. Oxygen is taken in by the blood and circulated to the rest of the body.
The ameba gets rid of carbon dioxide and excess water by the process of exocytosis. This is the process by which gases and other wastes leave the cell through the cell membrane.
Carbon dioxide makes conditions more acidic. If moisture is present carbonic acid will form.
Excess carbon dioxide leaves the blood through the lungs.
