The cardiac muscle in another name for the heart. Without your heart you will die because it's the most important muscle in the entire body. It pumps blood around your system and keeps you living. As you can see, it is very important. That is why some die of Heart attacks (They have something wrong with it.)

All living cells and muscles require energy, to work they need to respire. For the cells to respire they need oxygen and glucose as substrates. The waste products after the reaction is carbon dioxide, as human body is large it needs a pump to circulate all this oxygen to all the cells and dispose the waste co2 to the lungs.

So, heart muscle is important muscle in the whole human body.
