Why is cursing considered bad?

The Bible tells us to "let your yes be yes and your no be no. Anything else is from the evil one." There is something wrong if you have to add to your word by cursing. Either our word is good or it is not, and adding curse words doesn't make it any better.

I strongly believe cursing is wrong. Now, like the others stated above, everyone is different. But I agree with the Bible quote. Cursing doesn't make anything better. If you're frustrated and add a curse word or two in your sentences, does it really solve the problem? Some claim that it calms them down, but the problem is still not solved.

Cursing is considered as vulgar language. Many of my pals say that curses are just words, that's true, but words are not just words in some circumstances. You have to consider your audience. Think before you speak. Others, such as I, may feel deeply offended if someone is using curses during a typical conversation.

Cursing is used for exclamation and is not needed. There are suitable words to use for emphasis when speaking. It is often said that cursing is the uneducated persons way of hiding their lack of language skills.

Cursing is a ruder way of replacing a word.

Cursing is a way people exspress themselves. Instead of using words that aren't so bad they replace the words that they think is more powerful.Say you were furious at your best friend because he/she told your crush that you like he/she. You would use the most powerfulest word you can think of to express how angry you are. You would tell your best friend to never do it again in just one word. Cursing you may think is fun, but it's not. Cursing makes you dumb. When you curse it makes you dumb because you have to use that very word that your saying instead of proper english.

You may be thinking in your head saying Cursing is english so what are you talking about, but cursing is not PROPERENGLISH. Cursing is what everybody says "Street Talk." Cursing is that what people use on the street, and now in day kids are using the foul language. But after all this reading you should get the point that cursing is bad and how it's bad.
