Foxes kill many, many rodents and other small animals that can carry diseases harmful to man and that compete with many for food. Rodents damage or destroy vast amounts of grain and other human foods each year. They also kill rabbits who eat large amount of grasses and crops that serve as food for domestic livestock. Foxes are very wary around humans and rarely cause human injury and rarely take on livestock. Basically, the fox is much more beneficial than it is a menace. In the city where I live, one neighborhood complained to the city that there were a number of foxes in their area. The city trapped them and had them killed. Within months the same neighborhood was complaining that their area was overrun with mice and rats. Gee, I wonder why?

In my opinion fox-hunting is good. Foxes are pests and hunting helps control numbers. They hurt and even kill lambs, chickens and in some cases young children. Quite recently twin baby girls were mauled by a fox when they were sleeping. Do you want your children and animals killed? I didn't think so. It helps preserve the country side. Although, fox hunting should not be done in a cruel manner.

This depends on your opinions toward hunting, and what country you live in.

In many countries fox numbers are out of control, and controlling foxes is needed in some respects. One of these countries is Australia.

But, there are many who shoot foxes for fun or for their pelts, and animal activists and many people in general believe this is immoral and cruel.

In my opinion, hunting should only be done to control animal population, or is fine if the animal is killed as quickly as possible and all usable parts of the killed animal is used. I don't think a life should be wasted, no matter how small.

Hope this helps

Because to some people foxes are known as "pests", although you might not think, foxes can carry diseases and farmers really do not like foxes because they kill and eat there chickens.

So the reason for fox hunting is to stop them killing pets such as rabbits and farm yard animals and they also carry diseases so that's why they do it.

Hope this helps :).

There is no good reason to continue fox hunting. It is simply a barbaric activity of those who kill animals for fun. Foxes are very beneficial as they help control the populations of rodents, rabbits and other truly pest animals.
