Why is friction important in baseball?
friction is importent cause without it you can play baseball
Because when you throw and hit the ball, their is friction on it.
Friction is bad in baseball is because the friction when there running it will make them trip
Frcition is important because without it you cannot move! when you walk that is friction, and if there was no friction, it'd be impossible to do anything!
when i am ask is friction important i say the answer is yes. friction is important and can help people in many different ways. like cars for a example cars use friction to drive on the road. there is many different types of friction to; dry friction, fluid friction, lubricated friction, skin friction, internal friction, ect..... all of these types of frictions can be different a different way.
Friction is important because without friction we would be sliding and slipping everywhere as friction slows down and stops things. Friction occurs when two things touch or make contact.
Friction is important because if we didnt have friction we'd slide all over the place like a crazy lubed hippo.
An important formula is that friction = (coefficient of friction) x (normal force).
If it weren't for friction, a baseball would slide off of a bat when it should be hit.
because if there is no friction you can not move this means no walking or driving
In the bearings, where you want as little friction as possible.
friction is an important force to have in life because friction helps objects that move or roll stop. Like brakes on a car, when you push down on the brakes the friction is there when the wheels stop, and the car will stop to.
without friction you could be able to stay in one position
Friction is a cause of lost energy and inefficiency. But it is critically important to have friction as regards automobiles. The most important use of friction by vehicles is that involving their contact with the ground. Without friction, there would be traction, which would translate into no acceleration and no control of the vehicle. Think this through and it will become clear.
It involves pushing, gravity, and friction.
friction is very important in swimming as it is under the water without friction a person cannot swim well their grip will be damage
Believe it or not, friction is what is a very important part in removing bacteria and other germs from your skin when you wash. Texture is important in helping "slide" off bacteria and such from skin when you apply friction. They wash off when you have an agent that helps lift and detach after your friction action is used.
when you walk; wheels roll to move cars; you grasp something in your hand; cars brake; these are all because of friction. Really there are advantages of friction.
Friction is important in any movement. If you did not have friction between your feet and the ground, when you hit someone, you would slide away from them. Friction allows you to use the ground as a base to project power into your opponent.
Without friction you - and everything else - would simply slide off all the time.
Friction is important for a gymnast in two ways. A gymnast's hold on the bars in not possible without sufficient friction between the hands and the bars. At the same time it is desired to decrease friction on the skin to keep hands from developing painful blisters and rips. Grips are used as a solution. Grip provides sufficient friction between its surface and the bar and reduces effect of friction on the hands. (MZJ)
Friction and motion and gravity
then you would not be able to grib the ball
Yes, it determines the motion and state the object is in.
friction is one of the most important phenomena in the universe... w/o friction life on earth would be impossible.... we can walk due to friction because earth offers resistance to the motion of our feet thus applyin reaction to uor action of applying force to the earths surface and propelling us forward... this is just one example an we need friction in almost every activity..........
Friction is the force that makes it possible to stop a car - a friction between wheels and road surface is a stopping force there. Also, friction is necessary for maneuvering - if the wheels slipped, you wouldn't be able to make a turn.
when the friction is absent during the motion there may be a chance of skidding occurs. there should be some amount of friction during the motion of any body also there should not be too much friction as it decreases efficiency of the vehicle.
The coefficient of friction, represented by the Greek letter mu, is a constant dependent on the observed interaction between any two given materials. For example, the coefficient of friction for a rubber wheel on a wooden floor will always be the same. The coefficient of friction is important in determining the force of friction, which is given by the equation Force of friction = (coefficient of friction)(normal force).
Because too much friction can damage the simple machines that make up the compound machine.
Friction allows the driver to slow down the vehicle when he/she applies the brakes and to put the car into a complete stop.
Friction has two unpleasant effects: 1) it increases wear and tear, 2) it wastes energy.
because if we didnt have friction we'd slide all over the place like a crazy lubed hippo.
you need friction so the ground can push on your foot while your foot pushes on the ground. that is the only way you can move.
to avoid friction
Friction force oppose motion between two bodies that are in contact. This force is important in machines and pulley systems in that it enables the gears to have grip and there is no unnecessary sliding.
Friction plays a very important and crucial part in our day to day life. Thanks to friction as the friction between the roads and the tyre of the car enable us to control the motion / speed and thus the car is prevented from an accdent.
You could argue that friction is important in most aspects of the bicycle. For one, friction between the bike tires and the ground allow the bike to move forwards and backwards, and to stop. Without friction between the various gears and the bike chain, they wouldn't move very efficiently when you pedaled. Friction between your foot and the pedals is also necessary, or else your foot would continually slip off. You could even argue that… Read More
friction is very important during snowboarding in very many ways; One is that if not for friction very few would survive in the lovely game of snowboarding, why you may ask well it is all based on the definition of friction, what is friction( this is the resistance of two or more surfaces to an extent of making them heat up.) It is through friction that one is able to stop, spin, jump & even turn… Read More
You need friction just about everywhere. W/o friction, nurses would not be able push gurneys or wheelchairs along. W/o friction, patients would slide off the operating tables etc etc
Its important to know what static friction is first. static friction is the force that an object shares when it is in contact with another and at the same time not in motion. You can reduce it by making your surfaces smoother thus easier to move things on further more reducing static friction.
Friction is extremely important in that it causes heat which causes the snow to melt (a little) and the ski or sled runner actually runs on the layer of water. If there was no friction then you would not move. :) Hope this helped :)
For different types of friction.
The absence of friction makes it a 100% efficient space to see the reaction between any interacting objects.
Friction between things is important because it provides the necessary force to maintain and produce actions and work. It is essentially needed to walk and write.
Walking , if there is no friction you wont be able to walk properly . Another important thing is driving . In the absence of friction the car wheels wont be able to rotate probably thus the car will just go in circles.
Without friction, cars cannot turn or stop and causes cars to simply drift all around. Snow reduces friction, which is why there are often accidents on the road since it is hard to turn or stop.
Friction is the force resisting the relative motion of solid surfaces, fluid layers, and material elements sliding against each other.friction is very important evn in the day to day life.if friction is nt there then we wont be able to stand properly or write.we are able to do most of our daily activities because of friction like writing running etc.therefore friction is very important. Friction is the force that causes materials to resist motion between… Read More
Grip is a type of friction that people need in order to walk comfortably. Without grip, people would slide and have nasty falls.
I cant remember but I hope this answers, you have to use brakes in a car to stop the car therefore friction is increased (or it stops).
