It is not a mineral because, Obsidian (volcanic glass), has no orderly internal structure

∙ 9y agoThere are two reasons why glass marbles are not considered minerals. Minerals, by definition have a crystalline structure that is regular and repeating. Secondly, glass marbles are man-made out of silica and other ingredients.
