Religion is an institution established by man for various reasons. Exert control, instill morality, stroke ego, or whatever else it does. Organized structured religions, all but remove God from the equation. One confesses their sins to a clergy member, worship in elaborate Churches, told what to pray and when. All these factors are not praising God.
Melford Spiro defines religion as a system of beliefs and practices that help individuals understand the meaning of life and their place in the world. He emphasizes that religion involves the acknowledgment of the supernatural and a set of rituals and moral codes that guide behavior.
Wojciech Szczesny, the professional footballer, is Catholic. His religious beliefs are personal to him and may not necessarily define his professional career.
Religion is often a much more personal matter. In most subjects of scholarly interest, one can make an experiment or define the numbers and facts involved by simple observation. However, religion can mean many things, even to the same person; members of the same religion can believe completely different things, and still both be very "right". Thus, religion is not so easy to pin down or study. Because of the long histories involved, and the often sketchy and sometimes contradictory details, it is highly difficult to pick what you are studying in the first place, let alone actually study it.

It is difficult to give a fair answer due to lack of reliable statistical data. Everyone will claim that most converters convert to his/her religion. The other point, the number of converts to any religion is not necessarily indication of the superiority of the religion. The convert could for having better money earnings, better education chance, better chance for marriage, ..., or for having full faith and stronger belief in the new religion truthfulness and correctness.

The question assumes that it is difficult to define philosophy. That's not necessarily true.Etymologically, a "philosopher" is a "lover of wisdom." In other words, a philosopher is someone seriously trying to become wise. That's not difficult to understand. If the concept of wisdom were difficult to define, then it would be difficult to define the goal of philosophy. If the concept of wisdom were not difficult to define, then it would not be difficult to define the goal of philosophy.Whether or not wisdom is difficult to define depends upon the nature of wisdom, which is controversial. Anyone who is serious about the nature of wisdom needs to articulate what he or she thinks is a sound argument concerning its nature. Whatever argument is advanced, it will be attacked to see if it stands up to examination. Therefore, it may or may not be difficult to define the nature of philosophy, because doing so depends upon understanding the nature of wisdom. If wisdom is simple, as it may be, then so will be the definition of philosophy. If it is not the case that wisdom is simple, then neither will be the definition of philosophy. In short, the nature of philosophy is itself controversial. That itself may be sufficient for it to be classified as difficult to define. ----
