Animals can produce the things we need and plants help us stay healthy. Like predators, we eat meat from animals. Most people are omnivorous, so that's why we get our food from plants and animals. -lu

∙ 13y agoIt is more efficient for people to eat plants instead of animals because plants (generally) take less time to grow and less space. Also, plants offer up the most energy to be gained since they are the base of the energy period and receive their energy directly from the sun; this also means that they are the group with the least amount of energy lost in heat.
