Holes in case align with ports coming off the motherboard.
The holes holes in the motherboard align with the holes in the case for anchoring the board to the case.

∙ 9y agoIt is important that your case and motherboard share a compatible form factor, so that the motherboard will fit into the case properly. It is also important so that the input and output connections are accessible from the rear of the case.
