There are many reasons to go to school. One would think the primary reason would be to learn new information, specifically the subjects taught there. But consider this, you could learn those at home with little more than a lap top and a program, perhaps a few books. No, the primary reason for school is to socialize children. School is a place for kids to be put together to gain the experience of being around large numbers of their peers and discovering the way to behave properly. That cannot be taught from a book. That cannot be taught with one on one interaction. That can only be taught by dropping a child into the middle of the situation, giving some guidance, and hoping he or she gets it, and plays nice.
