Why is it that the cooling fan in a Nissan 240sx can be stop with the hand any suggestions?

ive never tried to stop mine but you can try replacing it cuz it sounds like the clutch in it has went out

there are 2 hoses that run threw the fire wall on the passenger's side . they are really close together and are 3/4 osd and 5/8 isd the inlet from standing at the front of the car, facing the engine, is on the right hand side.
