Medical terminology is extremely important if you're going to be working within the health care environments as most of the talk is within this language. This language is used to perserve some of the confidentiality of the patient, as the general lay person does not know the terms.

Without medical terminology a medical assistant would not know what their colleagues are talking about when they give you information on a patient, they would not be able to write in a chart and would not have an overall basic understanding in medicine, this is the basis of the language in medicine, that's why it is essential.

Medical terminology is extremely important in the medical field, because it is something that is universal, and can be carried on by many professionals within the field. Another reason why a lot of professionals like using these terms, is it can hide what the practitioners are saying about things and may help with the emotions that some families may experience.

Because it can cause confusion if its the wrong word, and can cause the wrong treatment to be administered, and the patient might not get better, and possibly die.
