We know that the earth revolves once every year. But we also know the Earth spins around on its own every 24 hours. When night falls it means that our side of the world has turns away from the sun! Remember when it is night Wichita, Kansas, its day in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. So when its night, that just means the other side of the earth is between you and the sun.
