Neon and hydrogen are not in the same group in the periodic table.

Perhaps you meant neon and helium, which are in the same group.

-------------------------------------

And if you did mean Helium and not Hydrogen, then Helium and Neon are in the same group because the group they are in are all elements with "full" electron shells.

Neon and helium are in the same group (Group 18 - noble gases) because they have a full outer shell of electrons, making them stable and unreactive. This shared characteristic places them together in the Periodic Table.

What are Helium and neon classified as on the Periodic table?

Helium and neon are classified as noble gases on the periodic table. They belong to Group 18, which is the last group on the far right of the periodic table.

Why is neon in the same group of periodic table as helium?

Neon and helium are in the same group (Group 18, Noble Gases) because they both have a full outer electron shell, making them stable and unreactive. This shared electron configuration defines their chemical properties and places them together in the periodic table.

What is the name of group 18 on the periodic table?

Group 18 on the Periodic Table contains the Inert Gases. Inert Gases tend to be unreactive. This group has the elements Helium, Neon, Argon, Krypton, Xenon, and Radon.

What is the group on the periodic table that contains only nonmetals?

Noble gases group has only non metals. It is group 18 on the periodic table.Noble gases includes helium, neon and xenon.

What are the gasses in the periodic table that are unreactive?

The noble gases are extremely stable and have an octet (eight electrons in their outer shell with the exception of helium that has two). The far right group on the periodic table contains the noble gases such as helium, neon, argon, krypton, etc.

What group of the periodic table are helium and neon in?

They belong to group 8A, more commonly referred to as the "noble gases." These gases are so named because they are extremelynonreactive, referring to nobility's preference for not dealing with any of the lower classes.

What elements are in the nobel gas group on the periodic table?

The naturally occurring elements in the noble gas group are helium, neon, argon, krypton, and xenon.

What is group 18 on the periodic table?

In Periodic table , Group 18 corresponds to Nobel gas group. They are six elements in this group. Helium , Neon , Argon , Krypton , Xenon , Radon constitute these group. They are chemically inert elements and having stable configuration.

The elements in group 18 of the periodic table?

The elements in group 18 of the periodic table are known as the noble gases. This group includes helium, neon, argon, krypton, xenon, and radon. Noble gases are typically non-reactive and exist as single atoms due to their stable electronic configuration.

Group 18 contains which elments on the periodic table?

The noble gases viz., helium, neon, argon, krypton, xenon, radon

What are the siblings of the element argon?

Argon belongs to the noble gas group in the periodic table. Its immediate siblings, in the same group, are neon and krypton.

Elements in the nobel gas group on the periodic table?

The noble gases are in group 18 on the periodic table, this is the group the farthest to the right, the elements in this group are Helium(2), Neon(10), Argon(18), Krypton(36), Xenon(54), Radon(86)
