Oxygen is a very strong oxidizing agent and is reduced very readily. In organisms that use cellular respiration to generate energy (e.g. humans), oxygen is needed at the end of the electron transport chain to act as electron acceptors, producing water in the process. Without oxygen, the electrons will not leave the electron transport chain, stalling it and forcing the cell to compensate with anaerobic respiration, which is much less effective and can only satisfy the needs of the cells for a short time.
Oxygen (in the form of O2) is needed for almost all life because it is used in the process of cellular respiration in which cells react oxygen with glucose to form water carbon dioxide and heat.
because if there wasn't any oxygen on earth you could not be able to breath. Oxygen is an essential for life.
Oxygen serves as the final electron acceptor during aerobic respiration.
Because humans and many animals need the oxygen to respirate, or breathe. To some animals though oxygen is poisonous.
Because we breathe it in. If we couldn't breathe, we'd suffocate and die.
Oxgen is important because from this element a needy oxidation process can be done which is very necessary for life on earth
it helps ur breath. ur respatory system, makes u stay alive
It provides air to the lungs, which sends it throught the bloodstream to make the human body function, from toes to the brain
Oxygen atoms are important because oxygen is necessary to all higher life forms.
Oxygen, Nitrogen and Carbon dioxide, in that order. The most important element to sustaining life is Oxygen.
organic compounds such as carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen etc are very important to all life
oxygen is more important for life than the food becoz we can live without food for 2-3 days but without oxygen we can't live for few min.oxygen is essential for the oxidation of food.oxygen combines with food and burns itand the energy is released int the form of ATP,which stores in mitrochondria. It is also used in respiration nad in breathing.the which release from it helps us to do work.In human body,we also required oxygen for the digestion.so oxygen is a very important factor of our life....................
Oxygen is replaced with plants and photosynthesis. In photosynthesis plants take in carbon dioxide and expel oxygen. This is why having plants is important to sustain human life.
Oxygen atoms are important because oxygen is necessary to all higher life forms.
Oxygen is important as it the breathing sources. It also forms ozone which is vital for life on earth.
The most important gas is oxygen
The body combines oxygen that it breathes in with the nutrients that you eat and converts them top energy. So oxygen is not just important, it is vital. No oxygen and you are dead!
Uhh, human and animal life?
hydrogen oxygen
Oxygen, Nitrogen and Carbon dioxide, in that order. The most important element to sustaining life is Oxygen.
Ozone is the triatomic form of oxygen. It is important as it blocks the UV rays of the sun.
Oxygen and ozone influence evolution. They are very important for life.
Oxygen is necessary for most organisms to carry out their life functions.
phytoplankton provide most of the oxygen to earth.
Glucose and Oxygen
