Photosynthesis is the way plants produce their food. They take water, sunlight, soil nutrients, etc, and turn it into a sugar which they can digest. Without the process of photosynthesis plants would not be able to eat and would die. Leaving people and animals who would normally eat a certain plant to starve.

Photosynthesis is the process by which plants trap the Sun's energy to make their food. It is therefore the process that supports ALL the life in an ecosystem.

Because its the basic source of energy to every ecosystem. the plants (or producers) use photosynthesis to produce sugars for energy, the herbivores than use the plants as their energy (along with the omnivores), and the carnivores use the herbivores/omnivores as energy.

photosynthesis is important to the environment because it is the proccess in which the plant uses water, sunlight, and carbon-dioxide, to create photosynthesis which turns the ingredients to energy which enables plants to live. And if you have living plants, then they will suck in Co2 and every plant has it's good things. Lilke Velcro is made out of the common Burdock.

Is photosynthesis a system?

Photosynthesis is not a system. It is a process in plants. It is very important process.Photosynthesis is a process of making sugars from CO2 and water by using light energy. Photosystem I and photosystem II are involved in this process to transfer electrons across the membrane. Photosynthesis occurs in plants algae and certain bacteria.
